I stayed in too many rooms to remember the number, but it was one of the best hostels I stayed at while I was in Sydney!!!
ROOM 310 WAS THE BEST! That is where I met my first two great friends and where I had the most fun! I also had the largest bed!
Stayed there for a month in 2004 with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it!
I stayed in 702 and it was . . .AWESOME!!!!
Room 702 crew 2005-2006, I loved staying at this hostel Side Bar rocked and thanks to Ed for all the drinks, they made my nights more special. Still meeting up with the friends I made in room 702, BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!!
Room 105 … definitely the longest I’ve ever I spent in a hostel never mind keeping the same bed for 3 months … THE PARTY PALACE as we liked to call it!! Ha ha, loved it… props to the wake up crew who kept me there for so long!!

I recently stayed here for four days on a weekend trip to Sydney. Absolutely amazing – clean, young, fun, great location, good facilities. I really enjoyed myself.
The only improvements I would suggest are a) having signs in the bathrooms asking guests to conserve water, we’re in a drought! and b) more recycling bins.
Stayed for a week in October 2006. Absolutely awesome place. What can be better than breakfasting in the street cafe on a sunny Sydney morning. keep up the good work!

Had a great time here! If you get chance to do the Oz party bus, do it! Its a great way to meet people staying in the hostel and learn where to go for a drink. The little organised tours and stuff are really good. staff are really friendly and helpful. If there was a Wake Up in every city here in Aus, I would no doubt stay in them. Thanks every1. x x

what can i say…. simply the best hostel i stayed in on all of my travels – it was EPIC!!!
the hostel is amazing, the staff are amazing, side bar is amazing… just spot on the best place ever… so much so im moving to sydney in september as i loved it so much. i met such good people here.
wakeup! also do free beach walks and city works, hosted by the LEGEND that is Jordan, make you do them, they are free, a great way to see stuff u wouldnt see on your own, Jordan is a right laugh and you also get a free beer or wine when you get back!!
make sure you do the party bus and the party boat through ozparty who you will see in the bar after beach walk or via reception….
i just cant say enough good things about this place… when i emmigrate from the uk il be living here for a month before i find a flat!!
